Ingredients

Scale

1 box white cake mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as per box instructions)

1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin

1 cup boiling water

1/2 cup cold water

1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed

1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Optional: extra whipped cream, strawberry syrup, mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare cake mix according to package directions. Bake in a greased 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Cool cake for 15–20 minutes. Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly over the cake surface.
  3. In a bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1/2 cup cold water.
  4. Pour gelatin mixture slowly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Spread whipped topping evenly over the chilled cake.
  6. Top with sliced strawberries and any optional garnishes.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy!
