Ingredients
Scale
-
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through (7–8 minutes). Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and nutmeg (if using). Continue stirring until sauce thickens. Season to taste.
- Add cooked pasta and beef back into the skillet. Toss until evenly coated. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce is too thick.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
